The BEST part about our taco pie recipe is the secret ingredient that we add to the sour cream to kick up the flavor. Have you ever tried sour cream on your tacos before? If so, you know how DELICIOUS it makes tacos. That’s why we couldn’t possibly leave it out of our taco pie. What do we add to the sour cream before spreading it over the taco meat? Red taco sauce! YES! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. It’s the perfect balance of creamy and spicy.

It will take about 30 minutes from start to finish to make this dinner. That includes the prepping of the ingredients AND baking times. The crust bakes to perfection while the ground beef (or ground turkey) cooks in a large skillet. How’s that for quick and easy? Once it is done baking, we cover it with fresh tomatoes and shredded lettuce. You can add as much or as little of this as you want. Personally, I love a lot of lettuce on my taco salad, so I add more to my piece. Extra shredded cheese and olives would be good too! My husband adds fresh onion to his slice.
