"You already feel at ease when you step into the Mantis Massage. I booked a 60-minute appointment with Sydney. Mantis Massage has two types of massage therapists, your typical LMT and your advanced LMT. I booked it with Sydney not solely due to availability, but because she's well-versed in trigger point therapy. Sydney focused on what I needed the most work done, my upper back and my hips. I easily get stressed and that compromises my posture. I also have weak hips. What I can't emphasize enough is Sydney really knows her stuff! You would have thought she was in physical therapy school as well! She manually tested my hip strength and checked my range of motions. She also offered stretching techniques for my quads and for my hips. I was feeling sore the next day, but guess what, NO BRUISES! That's what you get when you're paying for an advanced LMT! THANK YOU SYDNEY!"

"I've been going to Mantis for some time now, approximately once/twice a month for the last year, and I've never had a bad experience. My masseuse (Kelsey) is an absolute rockstar. She always starts the session by chatting about how I feel, what I'm looking to get from the session, and making sure I'm totally comfortable. I have a number of recurring problems with my shoulders and hips, and she has been able to alleviate these issues noticeably. She's not afraid to apply force, but she's attentive to my body language and tension. I always leave feeling great. Sometimes I come in feeling totally fine and ask for a relaxing massage instead, which is consistently a delight. Highly recommended for any and all."

Eunjung L.

"I threw out my back somehow and made an appointment with Mantis Massage because they were recommended by a friend. There was an appointment available with Linda on the day I made the reservation. The online portal was easy to use, the facility was nice and calming! They even have coloring books, tea, and water at the waiting area! The massage room was nice, with perfectly dim lighting, soothing music, and had a heated table! But the best part was the massage. Linda was FANTASTIC! She got rid of my knots and balanced the deep massage work with relaxing and soothing work so perfectly. I cannot wait for my next appointment."

Su H.

"I had several appointments with Taylor, advanced therapist, when I was suffering with a frozen shoulder. I went in for 30 minute massages that focused on my shoulders and neck 1-2 times a week for two months. During that time, I worked on stretching my arm up against the wall at least 10 times a day and reaching my arm up to grab a bar several times a day for a minute. It all paid off. Taylor has worked with other clients that have had frozen shoulder so she has a good understanding. You can trust her. I really credit the massages with helping. Of course they felt great, but also, when I would stretch my arm up, other parts of my body would come out of alignment and my neck hurt. I tried physical therapy and chiropractic care also, which were fine. I tried those from February until beginning of June. I went to Mantis Massage in July and August. By September, I was on the road to recovery."

Sassy T.

"This is the first place that has been able to make a lasting difference for me in terms of pain and physical fitness. I was very impressed and will be returning for my next massage soon."

Laura W.

"I have some difficult neck issues and this was my first time trying a massage for it. My massage therapist (Taylor) was fantastic! She spoke with me first about what areas were of the most concern and definitely addressed those. I've not felt such relief in my neck for years. I plan to go back, hopefully once or twice a month, to continue helping and getting back into alignment. I think Taylor may have reversed a year+ of damage and it finally feels better. All of the staff I encountered were helpful and nice. I'd definitely recommend and look forward to future visits."

"I had an amazing massage with Sparkles for the first time yesterday. I've had many massages before since I have chronic pain, but it was the first time at Mantis. Sparkles was so great. I couldn't recommend her more. I gave her a five-second overview of what I do at work (it's a physical job) and she knew exactly where to start and found all the knots. She even found muscle knots I didn't know I had haha. The location was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Will definitely be going back regularly. So glad to have found a new place to get massage therapy regularly."

"I had a prenatal massage with Savannah and it was amazing! From the start I felt comfortable and relaxed. I had a lot of pain on my neck and shoulders prior to pregnancy and now 2 days later and I still have no pain( just a bit of soreness that is going away)."

Reagan L.

"Sooo you ever got a real bad knot in your bad or just sit on your phone for too long and your neck feels like it will never go back to normal so you lay awake at night in pain or manage to get to bed and then dream about specific direct pressure that just runs right along side the tension like a slithery snake pushing it all out leaving you feeling so light with release.... yea so go get a massage from here and your back and neck will feel back to new"

Kevin D.

"I had a fantastic massage with Lisa yesterday. My intention was to fix some leg tightness and soreness that I thought to be my main issue. But Lisa was so attentive as to find that much of problem was torso-related. She also gave me some tips for rolling out and staying tuned in at home. I highly recommend Mantis Massage, and Lisa specifically."

Janki D.

"Wow! I see why everyone loves this place. I have never felt worthy investing in regular massage for myself, it always felt self indulgent. I decided to visit because I had severely hurt my neck. The pain went away before this visit but I decided to keep the appointment. Whitney is very intuitive yet also very considerate about asking and having me vocalize my needs. This spot feels warm and welcoming. Many massage places are so fancy you feel like apologizing for being there. Others are so downhome it feels like you are in someone's dorm room. This was just perfect. I scheduled a follow up next month. I see why they book up so quickly. I also like going someplace local that doesn't push you to sign up for a program like those big box places do. Also, small thing but I have an unusual first name and sometimes therapists will make a big deal about how "weird" it is and will not engage with me because of it. Whitney did exactly what I love- asked me how to say it and then, acted like a normal person. Such a refreshing change!"

Shanae R.

"I've been going to Mantis over the past few years. All of the therapists are gifted. My therapist, Kelsey, is uh-mazing!!! She is very professional (as they all are) and truly knows her customers. I don't have to say much when I go. And when I leave, my body and mind feel relaxed, renewed, and rejuvenated. I drive from San Antonio to get some self care at Mantis. Yes, they're that good!!!"

Raymond H.

"Katie gave me the best massage I've ever experienced in my life. I came in with my neck and shoulders being really stiff and sore but by the end of the 60-minute session, Katie had magically not only resolved all the issues I knew I had going in but also managed to relieve tension I didn't know I had. Throughout the entire session, I felt listened to, that Katie had complete command over what she was doing and by the time I left, I felt rejuvenated and renewed. The venue itself was really good too. Parking was easy, and the studio was very clean and calm. I'd highly recommend Katie and Mantis Massage, and will be coming back for more."

Shavon M.

"I visited Mantis Massage and had THE best massage ive ever had, and I have had alot of massages due to chronic back pain, and tension. Cori was amazing, the pressure was very deep how I like it. Ive struggled to find someone that gives really deep pressure but Cori was up for the challenge. Its a day later and my back still feels amazing, i have more range of motion in my neck and less pain overall. I will definitely be returning."

Bri L.

"I wish I could give even more stars!! I am extremely particular about my massages, and Khammi is hands down one of the top two therapists I've been to in Austin (and I have been to a lotttttt). She has the most amazing touch! She knows exactly where to press to relieve pressure and pain and uses the exact right amount of pressure. If you have any amount of tightness or pain in your back, neck, or shoulders, do yourself a favor and book a massage with Khammi ASAP, you will not be disappointed!"

Andrew M.

"I'ver been having regular sessions with Kelsey for about 4 months now. I highly recommend Mantis and Kelsey. She has addressed my TMJ issues and springs me back to life after a week of less than perfect seating at my client sites, an ever-changing array of hotel beds and criss-crossing the country in airplane seats. Mantis has great facilities at both of its locations. The staff are well-trained and very professional, the scheduling system is a breeze to use, and the price point is exactly where it should be. Both thumbs up on this one."

KD G.

"I ain't here to just relax. My whole body is jacked up, but what sent me in was dull achey pain in my leg and sore feet. Cait actually LISTENED when I said my legs and feet hurt and that the whole right side of my body is way worse than my left side and concentrated on those areas. A lot of therapists elsewhere, too many really, ask you what's wrong and then do their same old same old thing. Was glad to find a place that actually helps you work on your pain. Made a second appt when leaving. 10/10 would recommend Mantis and Cait."

Bianca A.

"I had my first ever prenatal massage with Khammi, Advanced Therapist. I came in feeling fatigued, tense and pain in my left side (sciatica) where it was painful to walk. After my massage with Khammi, I felt refreshed and the pain subsided. She was very pleasant and made sure I was comfortable throughout my entire massage. Cant wait to make this a reoccurring routine (after baby). Thank you again, Khammi for your wonderful service."

Brian R.

"Cait was wonderful! She focused on the areas that I told her about (this was not always the case with past therapists at other establishments) and I'm now on my 2nd day being pain-free! I've already scheduled another session!"

Jason M.

"Hi! I am VERY picky about massage therapy, but I pulled my back moving and needed a last minute massage to relieve the pressure. Maureen was able to squeeze me in and was fantastic!! She was informative on some home remedies with stretching and flexing to work out the tension. I will be back!!"

Rosa K.

"I've been here twice, and both of my experiences were fantastic. I was made to feel comfortable the whole time. I'm extremely stiff and tense from years and years of bad posture and sleeping on floors/chairs/desks/you name it as a stressed out student, and needed a deep tissue massage. My first massage was 45 minutes with Kendra, who knew exactly where I was feeling the most tense--in my shoulders and neck. She worked on my legs and all around took me to another world. My second massage was an hour with Katie Rae, who worked some serious magic with her full body massage. She took extra time on my shoulders and neck, and I walked out feeling like all my knots were worked out and tension released."

Mitchell B.

"First time visiting Mantis Massage and I will definitely come back! Katie was absolutely excellent - she took the time to ask questions to learn about my body, pain, the reason I was visiting and then delivered a relaxing massage which honed in on the specific points we discussed in our chat. I felt 10 pounds lighter afterward; time flew by! Not to mention it was very affordable! Thanks again for the great experience."

Ly T.

"I am a nurse and finally had a day off after 4 in a row, looking for some serious pain relief. My back was hurting and all my stress was in my shoulders. I googled the closest massage place and came across Mantis. It's kinda tucked away in the back of a convenient store so you wouldnt know it was there. But luckily reviews online were great. Kate (or katie...) was my therapist ! She listened to my needs and told me a bit about cupping. Ive never tried It but she made me feel comfortable about it. I booked a 45 min massage and was the best i've had this year! (I've been to alot of spas). I am definitely going back to see her and go for 60 min instead! She was also educational in the end and told me how to stretch certain areas"

Cassie M.

"Outstanding massage. Krysten listened carefully to my issues then focused her work to address those. I have been experienced chronic low back pain and hip restriction. After the massage, what a world of difference; no pain!"

Erin R.

"I have a lower back injury and Katie took the time to understand my injury and where my pain points were. Due to my injury I get a lot of massages and this was hands down the best treatment I have received. I felt feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and in much less pain than when I arrived."

Grant H.

"Katie Rae at the South Congress location was the most knowledgeable masseuse I've ever met -- she answered all the anatomical questions I had and worked magic on my various tense muscles. I had sprained my ankle recently and it was still stiff and painful, and somehow after Katie worked on it, my full range of motion in my foot was restored and it didn't hurt to twirl it around anymore. Like I said, magic!"

Maura W.

"I was in great hands - literally - with Hunter as my masseuse. I felt very safe with their Covid procedures, and like a brand new person after my massage. I have scoliosis, and have had bad experiences in the past with masseuses not understanding that and causing pain. Hunter erased any concerns I had by knowing the anatomical groups of muscles and vertebrae that were giving me trouble, never caused me pain, and I could not recommend them enough!"

Jared H.

"I went in for the first time on Sunday. I was sore from a new exercise regimen, plus I just wanted to relax with a massage. My massage was with Cori, and it was excellent. The massage begins with a consultation. Cori had me fill out a basic form, and then I was asked about any problem areas. I mentioned that I often have back pain and that my arms were sore from some recent workouts. After getting on the table, Cori noted that I was holding a lot of tension in the shoulders as well. For that reason, we focused almost entirely on my upper body. I felt great. Afterward, Cori shared some stretches which might benefit my chest, back, and shoulders. I appreciated that. I cannot speak for the other members of the staff, but if they are anything like Cori than you will easily get your money's worth. This was a tailored massage experience; it was exactly what I needed. The studio is clean and calm. That's all I really need."

Caroline B.

"Hilary gave me a wonderful deep tissue massage with ashiatsu. I came in with a locked up neck and back and she worked the tension out of my muscles. She asked me about the pressure a few times just to make sure I was comfortable. I will definitely come and see her again!"

Chris N.

"I'm so glad that I came here and saw Bex. She pinpointed exactly the problem spot that was causing the mobility issues!! I can't begin to say what a relief it is to know how to fix a problem. She even gave me some tips on how to help relieve it at home. Additionally, Bex gives a proper deep tissue massage--she knows how to manipulate the body to access various points and to help release tension. I ended coming back several more times because I was so impressed, and simply just needed the stress relief. Thanks, Bex!"
