Scripted series 🎬 had us hooked, but now, it's the raw, unfiltered moments of UGC 📱 that are seizing the spotlight💡. Why the shift? In a world 🌍 polished to perfection, authenticity is breaking through. UGC offers a raw, unscripted glimpse into real life, resonating deeply with audiences seeking connection🔗 and relatability. It's not just about watching content anymore; it's about experiencing moments, together. Streaming giants 📺 are noticing. Investments in creator-driven platforms signal a blend on the horizon, where the line between professional and personal content blurs. But what does this mean for the future of entertainment? As we navigate this shift, it's crucial to consider the impact on creative industries, advertising, and our own content consumption habits 📊. How do you see UGC shaping the future of video content? #UGC

UGC? Content makers are getting better and better, but in my opinion, that's a very small contingency. That leaves a lot of people making "average" content, and that's only going to grow - which I think weakens UGC. The combination of scripted and UGC is what I think will dominate the future.

I'm starting to see UGC slowly wade into "ads" territory. Scripts are being written like mini-commercials. This needs to stop. Viewers tune out commercials, UGC could be going the same way. Authentic, raw and FUNNY UGC videos need to make a comeback.

Founder, CEO @ One-Off | Pioneering UGC that doesn’t look like ads for brands

I’ve strategized thousands of UGC videos. One thing I've learned is that making UGC actually convert is an art as well as a science. How’s that? The science aspect, is the DR best practices, the funneling of the audience's attention to what you really want to say ⎯ “Click the link”The art aspect is the part that is rarely talked about. There is a lot more to a UGC video than meets the eye.Think of it like a movie. Giant production studios need to think about:• Music• SFX• Lighting• Script• Actors• Locationsand a lot of other things in betweenFor content, whether organic or paid ads, it’s much the same. Granted on a much much smaller scale, however, all of those things still matter. Choose the wrong sound to a UGC video and it could make it sound so adsy that everyone scrolls away. Choose to film in the wrong room and the echo and lighting is creating an unwatchable video. So think about the ✨art✨aspect when thinking of your next UGC video so that it works WITH the:📌 Hook: To captivate your audience right from the start📌 Conflict: That presents the pain point your audience faces📌 Rehook: That re-engages your audience with something unexpected.📌 Solution: That highlights your unique selling points (USPs)📌 Call to Action (CTA): Combine the problem and solution, directing your audience towards the next step.Be sure to follow Ryan Santoyo#ugc #ugcstrategy #contentstrategy #ugctips #ugccreator #creatorstrategy

This has been THE BIGGEST topic with our clients at Junk Drawer Creative Studio these days. Where should your brand's video content live?Is YouTube still the king of content, or are brands starting to shake things up? The announcement of Northwell Health new studio comes to mind. It's all changing - and fast. I’m seeing three different scenarios starting to play out and using some of our latest projects to showcase what I mean:-The Hollywood Playbook: Think "Zillow Gone Wild" on Max. Reaching a massive audience through a major platform can be a game-changer for your brand.-Building Your Own Empire: "Design School with Ballard Designs" on QVC/HSN+ shows how a brand can create its own streaming channel and build a loyal following within its own unique shoppable ecosystem-The Power of YouTube: "Stuffed with Steve Ford" for Pennsylvania Tourism demonstrates how YouTube can be a powerful tool for reaching a wide audience and driving results. But the real question is: What's most important to YOUR brand?Brand awareness? Go big with Hollywood channels or your own streaming platform.Direct sales? Build your own platform or leverage the power of YouTube.Audience engagement? YouTube's community features can be invaluable but you have less control of the algorithm. What's your strategy for video distribution? Share your thoughts in the comments!#videodistribution #videocontent #marketing #digitalmarketing #brandedentertainment #streaming #youtube #qvc #hsn #max #junkdrawercreativestudio #realalk #contentmarketing

UGC is WorthlessDuring Q3-Q4 of last year, majority of my portfolio of brands under mangement scaled across Meta ads with just Statics, Gifs, Founder videos, & Podcast clips. We did not invest heavily into UGC from content creators. There is far more headaches that outweigh the pros when it comes to UGC:🚩 14 days to get finished product (Shipping, Creator shoots, post-production, etc)🚩 Creators are a commodity and still believe they deserve to charge $100+ per video🚩 The market wants authenticityHere's how I plan on using UGC in 2024 👉 https://lnkd.in/gV-6Pu37
