That makes me think of an important point. This dude was in that bathroom for two hours recording women, TWO HOURS. This leads me to believe it took that long for what was likely a "Republican" woman to finally report him because she didn't give a **** about his feelings. The last time I checked, no state is trying to legalize recording people in the bathroom. This person was lurking in the bathroom and was arrested. As they should have been. So the problem is.....?

It's illegal to lurk in a bathroom and record people. That didn't deter this sicko. So change the law and make it so you have to use the bathroom that corresponds to your birth certificate. Wouldn't have stopped this person.

So when a person with a full beard and a reconstructed *****, who is attracted to women, goes to the women's bathroom because their birth certificate says male, you are fine with that? Or when a person with a dress and breasts uses the urinal beside you?

Such a stupid bull**** argument. Luckily in November our embarrassment of a governor should be gone and my state can move past this nonsense.

So what. This man wasn't transgendered. And he, even under California law, was ARRESTED. Passing a bunch of laws to make life difficult or impossible for Transgendered persons isn't going to prevent this. Or encourage it.

While I support the NCGA and the bill.....I agree that this is a separate issue entirely and no legislative bill can stop this type of criminal act.

Regardless of gender or sexual organs, if you're using the restroom to film or spy on others, you're breaking the law.

Some bill banning restroom access for Transgendered persons isn't going to do anything about cases like this. Other than scapegoating, I fail to see how this story has any relevance whatsoever to the debate regarding Transgender bathroom access.

How would HB 1523 or SB 2 stopped this.

The man was arrested. He'll go to jail for this. Even in California.

For those who are bent on doing wrong, easy access makes the wrong doing easier.
Allowing men into women's restrooms (and vice verse) and not being able to do anything about it, makes access even easier and no one can question it.

And once the crime is done, charging the perp does nothing to undo the harm done to the victim.

While I support the NCGA and the bill.....I agree that this is a separate issue entirely and no legislative bill can stop this type of criminal act.

I agree here I do think this proves that their is a subset of people who would abuse such a law..

That being said why is it the logic "he was breaking the law anyway" not come up in the gun control debates? like "we don't need to ban guns because killing people is already illegal"..
